We are handling all potential COVID-19 exposures and positive cases by utilizing recommendations from the CDC and Dane County. The procedures are as follows:
If you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19:
- Quarantine for 10 days after your last exposure. No test is required to end quarantine. Monitor yourself for symptoms until 14 days after your last exposure. From - https://publichealthmdc.com/coronavirus/what-to-do-if-you-are-sick-or-possibly-exposed
- OR Quarantine and get tested for COVID-19 6 or 7 days after last exposure. If your test is negative, you could end quarantine after 7 days of quarantine. You must have your negative test result before ending quarantine and the test cannot be before day 6. Monitor yourself for symptoms until 14 days after your last exposure. From - https://publichealthmdc.com/coronavirus/what-to-do-if-you-are-sick-or-possibly-exposed
- CVA will require proof of a negative test result if an athlete decides to get tested on or after Day 6 from exposure and wishes to return to practice prior to the 10 day quarantine period. Send documentation to your team coach as well as Quinn Lukens (quinn.lukens@cvamadison.net).
IF you test positive for COVID-19, adhere to the guidance provided by public health and/or the guidance you receive from the testing site.
Any instance of potential exposure at CVA will be communicated to those athletes/families effected as soon as possible.
