    Dane County COVID-19 Emergency Order #10 Update

    Capital Volleyball Academy is aware of Dane County Public Health Emergency Order # 10 (issued 11/17/2020).  We are working to gather as much information as possible to better understand the ramifications for the start of club practice. We are dedicated to making informed and responsible decisions, and understand our role in keeping our athletes, coaches and families safe. We will be in contact with all of our families as soon as we have a definitive path forward. The upcoming club season has not been cancelled.

    Molly Livingston earns Big South Player of the Year Award!

    Two Former CVA Coaches Win AVCA Thirty Under 30 Coaching Awards

    A big Shout-Out to two former CVA coaches, Morgan Salow and Jake Barreau, who are AVCA 2016 Thirty Under 30 Winners.  Morgan is now an assistant coach at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Jake is now an assistant coach at Missouri State University.  Please join us in congratulating Morgan and Jake.  We couldn't be prouder of our CVA coaching alumni and all they continue to achieve!

    Capital 18 Navy wins the AAU National Championship!

    Congratulations to Capital 18 Navy for winning the 18 Club National Championship in Orlando!  This is the 1st AAU National Championship for any team or club from the Madison area.  What a fantastic accomplishment for a great group of girls.  Congrats to all of the athletes, parents and coaches who made this a great season with a storybook ending!  Check out the highlight video on our home page!

    CVA COVID-19 Protocols and Procedures

    We are handling all potential COVID-19 exposures and positive cases by utilizing recommendations from the CDC and Dane County. The procedures are as follows:

    If you have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19:

    • Quarantine for 10 days after your last exposure. No test is required to end quarantine. Monitor yourself for symptoms until 14 days after your last exposure. From - https://publichealthmdc.com/coronavirus/what-to-do-if-you-are-sick-or-possibly-exposed 
    • OR Quarantine and get tested for COVID-19 6 or 7 days after last exposure. If your test is negative, you could end quarantine after 7 days of quarantine. You must have your negative test result before ending quarantine and the test cannot be before day 6. Monitor yourself for symptoms until 14 days after your last exposure.     • CVA will require proof of a negative test result if an athlete decides to get tested on or after Day 6 from exposure and wishes to return to practice prior to the 10 day quarantine period. Send documentation to your team coach as well as Quinn Lukens (quinn.lukens@cvamadison.net).

    IF you test positive for COVID-19, adhere to the guidance provided by public health and/or the guidance you receive from the testing site. 

    Any instance of potential exposure at CVA will be communicated to those athletes/families effected as soon as possible.
